Warming us up are the MTN8 games starting tomorrow, before the PSL season starts in earnest… This brief but brilliant tournament plays for R8-million and features the top eight teams from the previous PSL season. The winners for the past two season have been Orlando Pirates.

For those of you who are fans of the EPL, the superstars of the English Premier League will be showing their stuff soon too. No doubt you have been following our up-to-date transfer news and speculation on Twitter – we are of the view that Queens Park Rangers could be big movers this season.

Local is lekker so here are the fixtures for the coming weekend:
Friday, 3 August 2012 – 20h00: Orlando Pirates v Bloem Celtic at Orlando Stadium
Saturday, 4 August 2012 – 15h00: Supersport United v Free State Stars at Peter Mokaba Stadium
Sunday, 5 August 2012 – 15h00: Mamelodi Sundowns v Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Stadium
Sunday, 5 August 2012 – 15h00: Moroka Swallows v Amazulu at Volkswagen Dobsonville Stadium
Semi-finals first leg on 18 and 19 August 2012 and second leg on 25 and 26 August 2012.
    Big final on 22 September.

These fixtures are in line with the Supersport lineup as provided by the PSL. Bring on the weekend!

In related news, MTN have confirmed continued sponsorship of the tournament for a further 3 years until 2014. One fantastic fan can win R1-million cash and a trip to watch El Clasico in Spain.
